10 x DIFFERENT

A unique proposal issued by Kordegarda Gallery and the Nizio Foundation was an opportunity to meet the most interesting artists who use photography as a means of artistic expression. In conversations with culture experts, art historians, and sociologists, they told us about their inspirations and the processes behind the effects of their work – that is, the photographs. The creators also answered questions asked by the guests invited.

The experiment conducted by Jakub Śwircz consisted of 10 meetings and aimed at enriching the knowledge and language used to describe contemporary photographic images. The final result was to be published in the form of a book containing transcripts of the conversations, available in a bilingual Polish-English version.

Conversations with the audience were accompanied by specially prepared projections showing artists’ works, concept drafts or references. This allowed the audience to continuously learn about the stages of the participants’ creative development.
